The Joshua Yaro Foundation was established by professional footballer Joshua Yaro in 2017. The appreciation of education was instilled in Joshua at a very young age by his parents, whom were both educators in Ghana. As he reflects, Joshua understands that if it weren’t for his growth in the classroom, he may not be in the positive position he is in his life as a professional athlete. Although frequently commended for his athletic accomplishments, Joshua reminds those around him that it’s the lessons he learned in the classroom that have enabled him to be the best teammate on the field. Now in a position to give back, Joshua is dedicated to helping the youth access and utilize the power of education. The Joshua Yaro Foundation aims to make an impact in various ways, including providing essential school supplies, required uniforms, and construction of classroom facilities.
